HAPPY TET - LUNAR NEW YEAR OF VIETNAMESE PEOPLE!

Besides celebrating the New Year occasion like Western countries, Vietnamese people still maintains their celebration of TET - the Lunar New Year of Vietnamese people.

TET often happens from the late January to the early or mid-February. To welcome TET, people clean and decorate their houses, and prepare delicious foods. When TET officially comes, especially on the first days of the Lunar year, people come to visit their friends and relatives. Children are given "lucky money". Everyone gives the best wishes to the others.

TET is a meaningful time of Vietnamese people because all members in a family gather together after a hard-working year. Those who cannot return home from on Tet holiday are said to be homesick and lonely a lot.

Generally, TET is considered as an occasion of union of Vietnamese people. TET is when people forget all their sadness or sorrow of the old year and hope for the best things in the New Year.

And we would like to give you our most sincere wishes for this TET.
