The
Vietnamese English Journal Website Project
The
Vietnamese English Journal Website Project is originated from the ELT iCenter, an
online hub supported by Hawai’i International Education Program (HIEP) with the
missions of disseminating updated information and promoting innovative
practices in English language learning and teaching throughout Vietnam.
ELT
iCenter has been being officially operated since August 2014 at the address: https://elticenter.wordpress.com/
with the slogan “Empower Teachers, Inspire Learning”.

After
more than 01 year running the ELT iCenter Website, the team Project could gain
a lot precious experience of conducting an Educational Website Project and we
decided to continue developing this project by implementing a new Website
Project named “The Vietnamese English Journal”.

“The
Vietnamese English Journal” is designed for English learners and teachers; for those
who are passionate about English; those who desire to improve their English
skills; those who want to expand their knowledge; those who used to be, were,
have been, are going to and will be in Vietnam; and for those who want to study
and travel abroad/ within Vietnam or look for a job that requires English
language competence.
The
target of “the Vietnamese English Journal” is to share with readers the update tips
for learning and teaching English efficiently; tips for a better life;
opportunities for jobs, scholarships and grants; interesting travelling
stories; articles of language and culture diversity. Especially, there is a
forum included in this website for readers to share their ideas about specific
topics so that they can not only improve their English writing skills but also
broaden their knowledge of various fields.
The
Project Team will make all efforts to keep readers informed good essays/
articles/ stories/ etc written in both English and Vietnamese and updated
weekly. By this way, our readers can reach information shared on our website
easily and quickly. Similarly, we would sincerely appreciate the contribution
of readers to build the content for the Website.
Besides,
activities such as: “Lucky Drawing Contest”, “English Writing Contest”, etc
will be also organized to create the best English learning environment for
English learners and teachers in not
only Vietnam but also worldwide.
We
strongly hope that “The Vietnamese English Journal” Website Project will excellently
conduct its missions of creating a good online English language environment
with the rich content and a plenty of useful activities.
