During
the time between January 01st, 2016 and Feb 02nd, 2016 when
the “VNEJOURNAL.COM’S CONTEST – WRITE
FOR YOUR FAVORED MOMENTS” happened, we have received a lot of amazing
photos and sincere captions from participants at different ages all over
Vietnam. All photos and captions about “YOUR
FAVORED MOMENTS” from participants have made us so touched with emotional
and sincere feelings expressed deeply under attractive photos and meaningful
words. It was so hard for us to decide which captions would be the best one;
therefore, we had to work very strictly and carefully to read, consider and
mark so as to find out the most outstanding caption.
And
today we are announcing the results of this contest.

About the 1st prize
The
1st prize was chosen by a member of Organizing Committee – Ed.D. Melvyn Sakaguchi Director of Hawaii
International Education Program.
This
is his expression for choosing the 1st prize:
The family photo and the
remembrance of grandfather was my first choice. It spoke to me of the
importance of family.
About the meaningfulness of the
coming Tet – an important traditional occasion of Vietnamese people - I would
choose #4---the family portrait. I think Tet celebrates and honors family---
and the strength that family provides. I think the sentiment expressed and the
photo celebrates family.
About the 2nd prize:
The
photo #30 is the photo achieving the highest voting points from the total
“Like” & “Share” it received. Concretely, this photo got 5245 points with
169 “Like” & 440 “Shares”, in which 1 “Like” gets 5 points and 1 “Share”
gets 10 points.
About the 3rd prize:
The
name of each Facebook users who voted for their favorite photos and comment
their information under those photos was presented in cards, and all cards were
put in a lucky box, and the Commissioners of the Contest drew randomly one card
to select the winner of this prize.

Since
the quality of all photos and captions are appreciated by the Committee and
audiences and we want to save the precious moments participants shared with us
through amazing photos and sincere captions, we would like to design a “PICTURE BOOK” with the theme “VNEJOURNAL.COM’S CONTEST – WRITE FOR YOUR
FAVORED MOMENTS” by including all photos and captions we received from
participants. We hope that all participants will agree with our proposal and we
will be grateful to you for your kindness a lot.
The
“PICTURE BOOK” with the theme “VNEJOURNAL.COM’S CONTEST – WRITE FOR YOUR
FAVORED MOMENTS” will be finished and published by the end of Feb, 2016. We
hope that you guys will follow our activities and wait for this interesting and
emotional “PICTURE BOOK”.
